This course provides skills and knowledge about protection schemes for electrical trade workers. It provides a solid understanding of generation, high voltage bus, transformer, transmission and distribution line protection. Examples provided are primarily BC Hydro, but the course content is applicable to all electrical utility systems.

Target Audience
Employees who require a general knowledge of Protection Systems to fully understand how they interface with their equipment, but who do not have to work directly on the relays, eg: Electricians, Telecontrol, Operator Area Dispatchers, and Diesel Electricians.
